Strip-out in Islington: asbestos and older buildings
For commercial buildings, HSE guidance says a refurbishment and demolition asbestos survey is needed before major refurbishment or demolition work, and it applies to buildings built before 2000.
In a home or an office, tell us roughly how old the building is and what has been done to it, and tell us straight away if you suspect asbestos, so we can plan the strip-out safely.
What our strip-out services in Islington include
Strip-out means taking out what is there. It is not rebuilding or making good, which are separate trades.
Home and office strip-outs
Home strip-outs are typically kitchens, bathrooms and flooring before a refit or sale. Office strip-outs are typically partitions, ceiling tiles, flooring and fittings at the end of a lease or before a new fit-out. The approach is similar: remove carefully, load, take away.
Utilities and safety
Gas, electric and plumbing must be isolated by a suitably qualified person before we start. Talk to us about what is needed and we will agree the order of work. If you suspect asbestos, stop and tell us before we begin.
