Mattress removal in Brentwood: recycling centres and special collections
Brentwood Borough Council's A to Z recycling guide lists mattresses under a civic amenity site or a special collection. The council's two Essex County Council recycling centres, at Coxtie Green and Mountnessing, have to be booked in advance, and Mountnessing does not allow vans or pick-ups.
The council also warns that porous items put outside early can become too heavy to collect if they get waterlogged. We collect from inside the property on the day, so the mattress does not sit out in the weather.
Mattresses, bases and whole bedrooms
A mattress is bulky rather than heavy, but the stairs make it difficult. We can take just the mattress, the mattress and base, or clear the whole bedroom in one visit.
Tell us the size, how many there are and which floor they are on.
Recycling and responsible disposal
We focus on eco-friendly disposal and recycle what can be recycled.
Before we quote
What affects the price
Quotes are free with no obligation. We price the job once we know:
- How many mattresses and bases there are
- Size and weight, since a king or super king is heavy and awkward
- Stairs, lifts and tight landings
- Whether the bed needs taking apart first
Access and parking in Brentwood
Tell us which floor the mattress is on and how tight the stairs are.
Tell us which floor the mattress is on, whether there is a lift and how tight the stairs and landing are. A photo of the stairs helps.
